Beware! "Internet keyword" scam currently circulating

Search Engine Optimisation is on the wish list of every business with a website but it remains one of the least understood business tools. Scammers bank on your ignorance and are circulating emails recommending you register "Internet Keywords" or "Wireless Keywords" to instantly bring customers to your website - we've put an example below so you know what to look for!

This fantasy technology scam apparently allows customers to type in a key word into any search engine and be directed immediately to your website. Whilst it all sounds plausible, it is the stuff of daydreams and it further confuses the market about what Search Engine Optimisation can actually achieve for your business.

In reality, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques can be applied to any website to make it more visible to the search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing resulting in your rank rising, making it easier for customers to find you. By exposing relevant content and keywords to search engines through SEO, you can expect increased quality of traffic creating a higher conversion rate.

If you have invested in a website, it is essential to get your site SEO audited to see what information is being picked up by the search engines and more importantly what they are not picking up.
